Check if your device is connected to a network
1. Check mobile data settings
You can check the mobile data settings through the following steps:
- Huawei: Go to Optimizer > Data usage > Network access > Tide > Allow Mobile data usage
- Xiaomi: Go to Settings > > Networked apps > Tide > Select Mobile data & Wi-Fi
- OPPO: Go to Settings > App management > Tide > Data usage > Network Permission > Allow Wi-Fi & Mobile data
- Vivo: Go to iManager > Data monitor > Network management > Tide > Switch on Mobile data
- Samsung: Go to Settings > Connections > Data usage > Application data usage > Tide > Switch on Mobile data
- MEIZU: Go to Security > Traffic manager > Network management > Tide > Switch on Mobile network, WLAN network, and Background data connection

2. Check Wi-Fi connections
Go to Settings and find Wi-Fi network. Switch on Wi-Fi network and connect to a usable Wi-Fi hotspot.
Check local network status
- Please check signal strength. Weak signal may cause failure in getting data.
- Check if the Wi-Fi hotspot is connected to a network, or check if the hotspot allows your device to access a network.
Why does Tide require the network connection?
A network can support Tide to upgrade Tide Daily, Sound Scenes, and other audio contents. To get a better experience, we suggest accessing a network. Meanwhile, we are very cautious in getting network data. Tide won't download any audio contents or any other data without permissions.
